A hydraulic piston accumulator consists of a cylindrical pressure vessel with a movable piston separating the gas chamber (usually nitrogen) from the hydraulic fluid.When hydraulic pressure increases, fluid enters the accumulator and compresses the gas, storing energy. When system pressure drops, the compressed gas expands and pushes the stored fluid back into the system. This ensures stable pressure, smooth operation, and improved system response.The piston-type design allows higher pressure ratings and larger volume capacities compared to bladder or diaphragm accumulators.
