Hydraulic Accumulator Working Principle

A hydraulic accumulator operates by separating hydraulic fluid and gas (usually nitrogen) using a bladder, piston, or diaphragm. When system pressure increases, fluid enters the accumulator and compresses the gas. When pressure drops, the stored energy is released back into the system.This mechanism helps in pressure compensation, shock absorption, and emergency power supply during pump failure.
